I now realise how great it is and I'm sure i will continue blogging in the future, maybe not about 21st Century technology's, but you never know! Thanks to everyone that took the time to read my posts i hope you enjoyed them. Goodbye.

Copenhagen Wheel: The Future of cycling

You may not have heard of the Copenhagen wheel yet, but if you like cycling you will very soon, or if you don’t like cycling the Copenhagen wheel might just change that. The Copenhagen Wheel was unveiled on December 15, 2009 at the COP15 United Nations Climate Conference. The project was conceived and developed by the SENSEable City Lab for the Kobenhavns Kommune. The Copenhagen wheel transforms the bike you already own into an environmentally friendly electric bike. It does this by storing the kinetic energy you create while pedaling and breaking and keeps it for when you need a boost. The wheel also has sensors that collect real time information about road conditions and noise pollution. The wheel is controlled by your smart phone, with this you can lock your bike, change gears, choose how much assistance you need from the motor and see the real time information gathered by the wheel. I am not much of a cyclist, however I will definitely invest in the Copenhagen wheel and I suggest it to you too. read more here

Apple iMac Review

The new apple iMac is the most powerful all-in-one computer available at the moment, and also one of the best looking. Despite the look of the iMac being very much the same since the 2009 model, it still has a very modern and fresh look with the aluminium casing.

Design

The iMac comes in either a 21.5 inch display or a 27 inch both has edge to edge glass covers. Everything looks amazing on the widescreen display. To make this even better it includes a LED backlighting to give the pixels the light to achieve the best possible picture. The 27 inch model also contains 78% more pixels than the 21.5 inch with a resolution of 2560x1440.

Performance

The iMac has new quad-core Intel Core i5 processors which are 1.7x faster than the previous model. As well as the new processors, the iMac has a feature called turboboost 2.0. Turboboost increases the speed of all active cores up to 3.8 GHz. It does this without sacrificing any efficiency. The new thunderbolt technology is also featured on the iMac being the first to have it. Thunderbolt ports let you transfer data at speeds up 10gb/s, this is faster than the new USB 3.0 which transfers at 5gb/s.

Conclusion

The new iMacs are great, you can pick one up of the apple store for $1949. if you want the top of the range model you will get it for $2299 from the apple store. They have awesome processing power and storage, as well as a very modern design that looks awesome. The iMacs also feature a very energy efficient power supply which reduces the waste of power. Because iMacs are made of renewable materials such as aluminium and glass it is possible that they maybe recycled and reused, so it is not only a great computer but it can benefit the environment as well.

NBA 2K12 review

NBA 2K12 is a basketball video game released on October 4, 2011 for Xbox 360, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, PSP, Wii and PC.

Until the release of NBA 2K12, I had still been playing 2k11. In my opinion it was the best sports game I had ever played, so I found myself wondering would 2K12 be worth buying as I still enjoyed 2k11.I decided to try it out, and I was very happy with what I got. It takes all the things that I didn’t like about 2k11 and makes them great!

They have also improved everything that I love about the game. Like the My Player mode of the game, which is the most popular mode in the game has been greatly improved. What used to be a very long and boring start to the My Player mode is now much faster and more enjoyable. They have cut out the long draft process and made it into one exhibition game where you play as good as you can, followed by this is a series of interviews with teams that are interested in you. After this you will be drafted into a team and start playing in the NBA. Also you start with a higher overall rating so you will be equal to the rest of the rookies in the draft.

Another improvement that has been made is to the Michael Jordan challenges. 2k12 has the NBA’s greatest mode, so Jordan is back but he brought with him other NBA greats like Bill Russel, Jerry West and Wilt Chamberlain as well as many others. This mode is awesome; you can play as the 64-65 Lakers with Jerry West before the 3 point line was in the game. They really pulled off the look and the feel of the era by the use of the commentary and score display on the screen. And instead of having to get one player their numbers to complete the challenge, all you need to do is win the game.

While this game is a huge improvement to an already great game, doesn’t mean that it is perfect. There is still some characters that look a bit dodgy, like Kobe Bryant looking like an alien or Steve Nash’s evil looking eyes. And the commentary gets really repetitive if you play as much as I do. But this game is great and I would recommend buying it to anyone.

ASUS K53SC-SX010V Review

If you are looking for a notebook under $1000 the 15.6in ASUS K53SC-SX010V is available at JB HI-FI for only $991. This notebook has a fast 2nd Gen Intel core i-7 and a large amount of internal storage for a notebook of this price. So while there are cheaper notebooks on the market this is very good value for money.

The notebook also has 4GB of RAM supporting the Intel core i-7, so there are not many programs that this notebook will not run smoothly. The downside for the price of this notebook is the graphics card the NVIDIA GeForce GT 520MX, this graphics card is decent if the notebook is being used for business work or just general use. However if you intend to find a cheap gaming notebook, this would not be recommended. You will find that a lot of cheaper notebooks will have graphics cards that the NVIDIA GeForce GT 520MX just cannot compete with.

Out of all of the notebooks I have seen for under $1000 I found this to be the best available, that is if you are only looking for a notebook for general/business use. The notebook is small and weighs 2.6kg, which makes it easy to carry around with you.

iNot going to buy this!

The iPhone 4s is the latest phone created by apple. Apple has claimed that it is the most amazing iPhone yet! This may be true, but how much more amazing is it than the previous iPhone 4? If you asked for my opinion I would say that it isn’t much better, the new features are a new a new dual core A5 chip, IOS 5, Siri and a better camera. The only new feature that interests me is Siri, Siri on iPhone 4S lets you use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings and place phone calls. The reason I think this feature will be so good is because you can talk to it like you normally talk and it will understand you. Say something like “Tell my wife I’m running late.” “Remind me to call the vet.” “Any good burger joints around here?” And apparently Siri answers you. This feature would be great but I think it would be better to wait for the iPhone 5 to be released. The reason for this is that apple has a habit of making their new technology obsolete very quickly with their new technology. So the iPhone 4s may be a small improvement right now, however I don’t think it will last long!
