Copenhagen Wheel: The Future of cycling

You may not have heard of the Copenhagen wheel yet, but if you like cycling you will very soon, or if you don’t like cycling the Copenhagen wheel might just change that. The Copenhagen Wheel was unveiled on December 15, 2009 at the COP15 United Nations Climate Conference. The project was conceived and developed by the SENSEable City Lab for the Kobenhavns Kommune. The Copenhagen wheel transforms the bike you already own into an environmentally friendly electric bike. It does this by storing the kinetic energy you create while pedaling and breaking and keeps it for when you need a boost. The wheel also has sensors that collect real time information about road conditions and noise pollution. The wheel is controlled by your smart phone, with this you can lock your bike, change gears, choose how much assistance you need from the motor and see the real time information gathered by the wheel. I am not much of a cyclist, however I will definitely invest in the Copenhagen wheel and I suggest it to you too. read more here
